When a user executes a query for the first time, unless they have adjusted their user settings, the query will run with default settings. Essentially, all flow metric calculations will use the Basic Flow Map that is autogenerated when Creating a Flow Map. This Flow Map only contains mappings for Jira’s basic status values. That is, To DoIn Progress and Done.

It is highly likely that your system has status values that are not contained in the Basic flow map. When executing a query in this situation, Delivery Flow will warn you that it has encountered an issue(s) that has a status value not referenced by the current flow map. See below screenshot for an example.

When this occurs, the user can:

  1. Go to user settings and select appropriate Flow Map.

  2. Amend query to return only issues with a status covered by current flow map.

  3. Contact app admin and request that all relevant Jira statuses are covered by the flowmap.

Details of the unmapped statuses can be found in the Calculations file which is available via the download button. When Delivery Flow encounters an issue with an unmapped status, it is ignored and not included in calculation
