The Color Settings page allows you to assign colors to the different issue types in your Jira Cloud instance. This feature ensures uniformity in colors across all graphs and Delivery Flow components. For instance, configuring the settings as depicted in Figure 1 ensures that the "Story" issue type is consistently represented in green across all charts in Delivery Flow, thereby maintaining a consistent understanding throughout your organisation.

Changing Issue Type Colours

To modify color settings for an issue type, simply click on the current color displayed in the color column of the “Match issue types with colors” table on the left side of the page. A menu will then appear, allowing you to assign a new color to the selected issue type (refer to Figure 2). The colors utilized are those provided by Atlassian for data visualization within Jira. Additionally, you can specify the line type for the issue by clicking on the currently assigned line type in the line column.

Upon initial installation, all issue types are allocated a light grey color. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you assign colors to your key issue types following the instructions provided here. The issue types visible in the graphs on the Color Mapping page are determined by the selected items in the Show column, with the ability to select up to 8 issue types. The settings in the Show column are designed to enable you test your selections and are only relevant on the Color Mapping admin page. They do not impact the use of colors in the rest of the application.
