Just checking font etcThe initial version of the workflow map from Create a New Workflow Map, is a representation of the process for the selected template project. However, depending on the project board, associated statuses and status categories, this initial version may not meet your exact requirements for measurement. Illustrated in Figure 1 below is an instance of a newly generated workflow containing issues that require attention. Certain waiting lanes have been misidentified as working lanes. This is because the associated statuses have an "In Progress" categorisation in this Jira instance. Consequently, the defined workflow map is not entirely accurate. Furthermore, some statuses could be consolidated into a single lane to streamline the workflow. It is imperative to modify the map to achieve the intended definition of the workflow.

Each lane has a menu of options on the right side of the lane or row in the table. This menu offers options to add a new lane after the current lane, to edit the lane or delete the current lane. You can also change the sequence of lanes by dragging and dropping them elsewhere in the table. By taking these options, we can amend the map to fit our exact needs as shown in Figure 2.

In Jira, if you flag an issue from the issues actions menu, it is considered to have an impediment or to be blocked. If you select the include flagged impediments checkbox in the flow map setting, delivery flow will include time blocked in its calculations.
Once you have completed your edits, make sure to select the save button at the top right of the screen. Once you have saved the flow map, it will be available to users of Delivery Flow within your Jira Cloud instance. When the user enters a search query, Delivery Flow will calculate and return flow metrics based on the specification within the flow map they have selected.
