Company or Team Projects

Company Projects

In Jira, a company-managed project embodies a company-wide initiative that engages multiple teams adhering to a uniform process and standardized workflow. It is possible for multiple company-managed projects to adopt a common workflow, or alternatively, each project can maintain its distinct workflow and process. The establishment and customisation of these workflows are under the purview of the organisation, with exclusive authority granted to Jira administrators to designate or develop workflows for company-managed projects.

All status values utilised in a company-managed project are global. They can be applied across multiple company-managed workflows. Company-managed statuses are consistently denoted in Delivery Flow with the key (Company).

Team Projects

A team-managed project enables a team to operate with agility and maintain complete control over their board and processes. Teams have the flexibility to customize their workflows locally without affecting company-wide workflows. The workflows and statuses associated with team-managed projects are confined to the project and are not accessible for use in company-managed projects.

Within large organizations, this approach may lead to the development of multiple workflows, some of which may be nearly identical while others are entirely distinct. Utilising Workflow Maps, Delivery Flow can effectively navigate through the diverse Jira workflows present in the organization.

All status values used in a team-managed project are local and confined to that team-managed project.
